Wins Daytona 500 Pole Larson won the pole for the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway Wednesday night. He turned a fast lap of 181.159 mph.

Impact The Hendrick Chevrolets were incredibly strong in single-car, timed runs. The first round would see Hendrick drivers sweep the Top 4 spots on the scoring pylon. Larson would advance to the final round of qualifying and beat out Alex Bowman to claim his first-career Daytona pole position and the 11th pole of his career. The driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet is locked into the pole and will roll off first Sunday in the Great American Race.
