Runner-up Finish at Michigan Byron finished second in the FireKeepers Casino 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway Sunday afternoon. Impact The Hendrick Motorsports youngster started 18th on the grid and quickly raced inside the Top 10. Byron would remain there the rest of the afternoon. The driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet would take the lead from Christopher Bell on lap 175 and appear poised to take the win at Michigan. However, Ryan Blaney would track him down after the final restart and Byron would settle for the strong runner-up finish. It was his ninth Top 5 of the season.
