Headed to Brooklyn Dragic agreed Monday to a contract with the Nets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Impact Less than one week after agreeing to a buyout with the Spurs, Dragic is set to reunite with head coach Steve Nash, his teammate with the Suns from the 2008-09 through 2010-11 seasons. The 35-year-old wasn't a part of the rotation in Toronto earlier this season before he left the team in late November, and he was then traded to San Antonio earlier this month. He should have a regular role with Brooklyn's second unit as the team looks to vie for a playoff spot, though Dragic could get a look on the top unit in the short term while Ben Simmons works to regain conditioning and while Kyrie Irving checks in and out of the lineup due to his vaccination status. Though Dragic should have a greater opportunity to earn minutes in Brooklyn than he did earlier in the season in Toronto, he'll likely still struggle to earn enough minutes and usage to attain relevance in most 12-team leagues.
