Xavien Howard - Dealing with injuries Howard (shoulder/groin) did not practice Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Howard is the pillar of Miami's secondary and arguably of the team's entire defense, so he can scarcely afford to miss time. His status will need to be monitored during the final two practices of the week and leading up to Sunday's game in Jacksonville.

Adam Shaheen - Practices in limited fashion Shaheen (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Shaheen is considered day-to-day after suffering a knee injury during Week 5's loss to the Buccaneers. With only two catches for 15 yards in four appearances this season, he can safely be considered off the fantasy radar. However, if Shaheen misses time, Hunter Long and Cethan Carter could potentially see more reserve work.

Jacoby Brissett - Limited in practice Brissett (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Brissett managed to return to Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers after injuring his hamstring, but it appears that he's still dealing with lingering soreness. Tua Tagovailoa (ribs) has resumed practicing and is eligible to come off IR, but the Dolphins haven't yet brought him back to the active roster. For the time being, Miami's quarterback situation should be considered uncertain, and will need to be monitored as Sunday's game in Jacksonville approaches.

Of course, the Dolphins will likely wait until the young quarterback has been evaluated at practice before making a decision. With DeVante Parker (shoulder) still absent from practice and Will Fuller (finger) sidelined, Tagovailoa could be without a number of key playmakers if he's indeed ready to retake the field. On the plus side, Jacksonville's defense has proven vulnerable and has allowed at least 23 points in each game this season.
