Valeri Nichushkin - Won't travel to start trip Nichushkin (lower body) won't travel with the Avalanche at the start of their three-game road trip, Ryan Boulding of NHL.com reports.

Impact Nichushkin hasn't been ruled out for the whole trip, but he won't play Monday in Columbus. He will resume skating in Denver and may link up with the Avalanche later in the trip, which also includes stops Thursday in Minnesota and Friday in Edmonton.

Sean Walker - Suffers upper-body injury Walker sustained an upper-body injury in Saturday's game versus the Predators, Ryan Boulding of NHL.com reports.

Impact Walker didn't play in the third period after exiting late in the second. It's unclear if he will be able to travel with the Avalanche for their upcoming three-game road trip. If he can't play Caleb Jones could enter the lineup.

Impact Mittelstadt has fit in well in Colorado since the trade deadline. He went without a point in the two games prior to Thursday, but he's registered at least one point in six of nine games with the Avs. There has not been an explosive game yet, though. He hasn't had more than a single point in a game and hasn't even taken more than two shots in a game with the Avs. Still, while it's not game-breaking production, his offensive contributions have been consistent so far.

Impact There was some doubt as Georgiev was not at morning skate, but coach Jared Bednar said that he was good to go. Georgiev is 37-15-3 this season, but his peripherals are just okay, as he has a 2.82 GAA and a .904 save percentage. He will not have an easy time of it Thursday as the Rangers are atop the NHL standings with 100 points in 72 games.

Joel Kiviranta - Won't play Thursday Kiviranta (illness) will not be in the lineup against the Rangers on Thursday, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports.

Impact Kiviranta will have to wait at least one more game before getting a shot at his 10th point of the season. In fact, with just three more tallies, the 28-year-old winger could top the personal best he set back in 2020-21 (11). Even once cleared to play, Kiviranta is far from a lock for the starting XI and may have to watch from the press box periodically.

Valeri Nichushkin - Ruled out against Rangers Nichushkin (lower body) will not play in Thursday's matchup with the Rangers, Kyle Fredrickson of The Denver Gazette reports.

Impact Nichushkin has played in just eight games since returning from the Player Assistance Program and is now going to find himself watching from the sidelines again. In those eight outings, the 29-year-old winger has notched four goals and four assists, including four power-play points. Zach Parise should be a candidate for Nichushkin's second-line role.

Jean-Luc Foudy - Recalled from AHL Foudy was called up from AHL Colorado on Thursday.

Impact Foudy scored a goal in his only NHL game of the season, back on March 6. He was recalled as the Avalanche have only 11 healthy forwards, as Valeri Nichushkin is questionable with a lower-body injury. Foudy had three goals and nine points in 18 AHL games before his recall.
