Chase Anderson - Allows one hit in win Anderson (1-3) earned the win over St. Louis on Thursday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

Impact Anderson didn't have great control in the outing -- he threw only 46 of 80 pitches for strikes and walked two batters -- but he surrendered just one hit (a double by Paul Goldschmidt) across a season-high five frames. That double resulted in a run, but that was the only score the Cardinals could manage against the right-hander. Anderson ended up with his first win of the campaign in his fifth outing. With Hunter Greene (shoulder) slated to return from the IL this weekend and Graham Ashcraft (biceps) currently on a rehab assignment, it's not certain that Anderson will remain in the rotation much longer despite the strong showing Thursday.

Justin Dunn - Lands on injured list Dunn was placed on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder tightness Thursday, retroactive to Sept. 12.

Impact Dunn was slated to start Friday's game against the Cardinals, but he's apparently dealing with a shoulder injury that will keep him out until at least late September. The Reds haven't announced who will take Dunn's place in the rotation, but they'll get a boost to their rotation this weekend since Hunter Greene (shoulder) is on track to return Saturday. While Dunn will be eligible to return Sept. 27, it's possible that the Reds elect to keep him out for the remainder of the season since the team isn't in postseason contention.

Impact Moreta has made five major-league appearances since the All-Star break and has allowed three hits and two walks while striking out four in seven innings. He served as the 29th man during a doubleheader against the Rockies on Sept. 5 but will rejoin the big-league bullpen as part of a move after Luke Farrell was designated for assignment.

Impact Lodolo was stuck with the loss after allowing a three-run home to Rodolfo Castro in the third inning. However, Lodolo was very impressive, racking up 16 swinging strikes on 102 total pitches while also inducing five groundball outs. He's shown an impressive ability to rack up strikeouts across his last three starts and 20.1 innings by punching out 31 hitters. In that same span, he's allowed only five earned runs. Impact Even though Overton has resided on the injured list since late April and the season is nearing its end, manager David Bell said that the Reds' initial plan is to have the right-hander build up for a starting role. In his first rehab start Tuesday with Louisville, Overton struck out four while allowing three unearned runs on two hits and two walks. Considering that he tossed 61 pitches in that outing, Overton could be cleared to rejoin the Reds as soon as the back end of next week if he build up to the 70-to-80-pitch range during his upcoming start with Louisville on Sunday.
