Hohn scores 18, UC Irvine downs CSU Bakersfield 75-56
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Justin Hohn scored 18 points as UC Irvine beat CSU Bakersfield 75-56 on Saturday night.
Hohn was 6 of 8 shooting, including 4 for 5 from 3-point range, and went 2 for 4 from the foul line for the Anteaters (9-5, 2-0 Big West Conference). Bent Leuchten scored 15 points while shooting 6 of 9 from the field and 3 for 4 from the free-throw line, and added eight rebounds and three blocks. Derin Saran shot 5 of 8 from the field and 4 for 4 from the charity stripe to finish with 14 points.
The Roadrunners (5-8, 0-2) were led in scoring by Kaleb Higgins, who finished with 18 points. CSU Bakersfield also got 12 points and two steals from Ugnius Jarusevicius. Fidelis Okereke also had 10 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.
