The UCLA Basketball team takes another bite of a cupcake as UC Santa Barbara comes to Pauley Pavilion.

The UCLA Basketball team  is preparing for what might be the easiest contest of the year.

Tonight the Bruins will be welcoming the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos to Pauley Pavilion, though this should really be renamed “a bloodletting” rather than a basketball game.

Here is your UCLA-UCSB preview and game day information:

    TV: Pac-12 Networl

    Radio: AM 570 Los Angeles

Satellite Radio: Sirius Ch. 83, XM Ch. 197

    Live Stream: Pac-12.com

    Betting Line: UCLA -28.5

    Projected Starters:

UCLALonzo Ball, Bryce Alford, Isaac Hamilton, TJ Leaf, Thomas Welsh

UCSB – Gabe Vincent, Eric Childress, Max Heidegger, Jalen Canty, Ami Lakoju

UCSB is, well, not good. They really only have two proficient scorers, Vincent and Canty, who are the only players on the team averaging double digits, with Vincent averaging 17.3. Canty is contributing 11.3 points per game and grabbing 7.1 rebounds.

Now you and I know that having only two viable players going up against this UCLA team does not exactly help their chances.  UCLA is going to run over this team, dunk over this team, shoot over this team and just completely dominate.

Though UCSB does not pose a proper threat, the Bruins should not over look this team. What UCLA needs to do is use this game to tighten the screws and work on parts of their game that could use some love, like defense and starting fast.

    Key Stats:

    Lonzo Ball – 15.0 ppg, 8.8 asts (2nd in NCAA), 5.2 rebs, 1.6 stl

    TJ Leaf – 17.6 ppg, 9.3 rebs, .679 FG% (1st in Pac-12), .500 3FG% (2nd in Pac-12)

    Isaac Hamilton -17.7 ppg (2nd in Pac-12), 3.8 rpg, 3.6 asts, .515 FG%

    Players to Watch:

Aaron Holiday – Holiday is making a case to be THE 6th man in the nation. Currently he is leading the Pac-12 in three-point percentage with .600.

    Prediction: UCLA 105 – UCSB 74
