There's more to UCLA's Paul Perkins than what's on the surface

UCLA fans know about Paul Perkins. They know he was the Pac-12's leading rusher last year. UCLA fans also know and would argue that the punishing running back was highly underrated last year and wasn't a household name.

Perkins is on a mission to change that, but he also offers up a golden nugget to Bleacher Report's Adam Kramer, who had an extensive interview with Perkins.

"When he isn’t working tirelessly on his game, Perkins is concocting meals that far surpass the ramen noodles specialties you whipped up in college," Kramer writes. "His thirst for culinary knowledge is unquenchable. He peruses Pinterest for new recipes, he asks mom and dad for new cooking options. Regardless of the time of year, he’s always dreaming up that next great dish."

And Bruins fans are hoping he can cook up another 1,000-plus yard season.
