UCLA's quarterback in 2015: Who's it gonna be?

UCLA is doing just about everything right under Jim Mora. First and foremost, the Bruins are 3-0 against "the other school" across town under Mora. In Los Angeles, everything else is just about gravy, and the Bruins are drowning in it.

UCLA is projected to be a top-15 team in 2015, but the big question heading into fall camp is and will always be, who will replace Brett Hundley at quarterback? ESPN's Kevin Gemmell gets right to it with his UCLA preview.

"The Bruins are coming off their second straight 10-win season and, even better for the folks in Westwood, have yet to lose to crosstown rival USC under Jim Mora’s stewardship (3–0)," Gemmell writes. "But will a brand-new QB be able to fend off a Trojans squad on the rise? Los Angeles waits with bated breath to find out."

Josh Rosen by all accounts appears to be the heir apparent. Jerry Neuheisel will give him a run for his money, but Rosen has stood out in the early competition. Whoever emerges from the competition, they'll enjoy a pretty good luxury any young quarterback (or veteran, for that matter) would like to have.

"Whoever earns QB1 will have the luxury of handing off to junior RB Paul Perkins," Gemmell writes. "The Pac-12’s reigning rush leader is not just consistent (one of just four FBS backs to run for 75-plus yards 13 times), he’s a productive table setter (7.1 ypc on first down).
